Perfect

Do you feel you have to be perfect? Because if you do, I have good news for you. You don't have to be. Nobody is perfect, and nobody has to be perfect. And if other people give you the feeling they want you to be perfect, then they are not worth being friends with.


Look at this tree. Its far from being perfect.

Its stem is not straight as if drawn with a ruler. It has nobs and bumps and dents and holes. But at the same time its just perfect. It looks wonderful, charming, interesting. It has its very own character that makes people look twice and admire it even with its imperfection.

You can say the same for human beings. Most of them don't look perfect. None of them have a perfect character and never make mistakes. Look at yourself! You can't say you are perfect if you're honest, because nobody is. So don't expect others to be perfect, and don't blame yourself too hard for your own mistakes. Expect other people to accept you the way you are and you will be accepted. Be gracious to those people who don't, for they don't know what we do:
